Thanks for your interest in auditioning for The Collaborative!
Please take a look at our Levels of Membership before proceeding:
LEVELS OF MEMBERSHIP
Covid-19 may have changed the landscape of the entertainment industry, but that hasn’t stopped us from continuing to provide our actors with excellent community, education, production, and networking opportunities every month!
Our classes are a combination of in-person and online sessions.
However, auditions are held exclusively online for the foreseeable future.
SO… WHAT’S THE FIRST STEP?
To be considered for pre-membership, please send the following three things to auditions@the-collaborative.net:
- Headshot
- PDF Resume
- A link to a downloadable self-tapeFor the self-tape:
• Please keep the video under 3 minutes.
• Please keep the size of the video under 100MB (or have the smaller option via Vimeo, etc.)
• Please Label the video like so: “FULL NAME_TITLE OF SHOW/FILM”
• For your self-tape, we are looking for something that will really give us an indication of who you are and what you can do as an actor (what you believe you do well, right now, as an actor). Please make this a scene (no monologues), since scenes are used in our classes most often. We look for a dynamic story arc, high stakes, and an authentic connection to the material. We only ask that the tapes are under three minutes. The rest is up to you! - Please put in the Subject Line:
“TC AUDITION, Full Name, if referred by a member, the member’s name”
Self-tapes received by the 25th day of the month will be viewed on the FIRST SUNDAY of the following month. Auditions received after the 25th will be pushed to the next month. (For example, you should have your materials in by September 25th for consideration for October’s Auditions.)
THE LIVE AUDITION
For the time being we have paused our live auditions at our studio. We will be solely accepting self-tape submissions and will make decisions on eligibility based on your self-tape.
Again, thanks for your interest, and if you have any questions for us, please don’t hesitate to reach out at auditions@the-collaborative.net.
Thank you!
